Velocissimo Auto Genus

Auto genus means race auto in Latin or race car "freely translated" as well as "auto breed" literally .
The Cars name is "Velocissimo" which means "the fastest"
Velocissimo auto genus means the most rapid kind of car in Latin.
one could also translate this as fastest race car or fastest car of its type.
Goal:
The ambition is to make an "affordable" kit-car which I or someone else with an adequate skill set can build in their garage. The car ought to be as light and powerful as possible while being large enough for larger people to enjoy as well. All this within regulations and a keen eye for safety. In the future fully assembled kit-cars might be an option to keep in mind e.g. selling the car as a whole.
Target specifications:
Target kit car component cost for low power version would be in the 30.000 to 40.000 dollar ballpark
high end version would be in the 100.000 to 150.000 dollar ballpark
Car wheel base = 2750 mm length
by 2100 mm width in the rear.
and 1900 mm width in the front
Height of the car measured from the ground = 1196 mm
ground clearance 140 mm lowering for track-day should be possible.
Length of the car = 4534 mm
Turning circle in between 10 and 9 meters
The target weight of the car = 950-1200 KG
weight budget sub-components :
250 kg frame
150 kg suspension, steering,brakes plus wheels and tires
210 kg small block engine 346 KG big block engine (fully dressed engine no super or turbo charging)
65 kg gearbox / trans-axle
200 kg body panels, seats, etc.
85 KG fluids
240 KG various parts or 104 KG if big block is chosen to be within the 1200 KG target weight
car designed for a maximum power of 2000 HP with turbo charge 9,2 liter hemi gen II V8
aerodynamics should support up to 250 mph or 402 kmh
aerodynamics and top speed will be a big part of this design.
The Engine will be a Mopar small block hemi gen III 7 liter or a big bock Mopar hemi gen II 575 CID / 9,2 liters both being aluminum blocks.
This will be a mid engine car two-seater big enough for a large person of 1870 mm to comfortably sit in. The largest person of 2160 mm 7 foot and one inch will fit but it will be a snug fit.
door clearance to get into the car will be 610 mm or 2 foot or 24 inch
tires are 355 or 345 mm wide in the rear on 19 or 20 inch respectively and 295 mm in the front on 19 or 20 inch.
The current model depicted shows 20 inch 355/30ZR20 in the rear and 295/30ZR30 in the front
only tube frame and the assembly of the car must be possible within a reasonably well equipped garage with standard hand-tools.
All of these specifications and more are undergoing continues refinement this is just part of designing the car.

project status:
current version of the design is in a rough concept stage / preliminary concept design / viability study.
Planning:
For now the hole endeavor rests solely on me and is in the concept design stage. The total design which will take at least a year from 2020 till 2021. Fabrication and assembly time will greatly depend on my ability to gather money for this project. After the car is built and certified road worthy "minimum time scale of three years" it might be possible for me to sell this as a kit-car. Since the hole project solely rests on me the time scale is quite vague and can vary greatly.

Currently this project is a hobby but I would not be shy to take this to a more professional level if many people would be interested in buying a car like this. So let me know what you think about my project and how you would build your dream car for an affordable price within acceptable complexity e.g. no carbon fiber tub! only tube frame and the assembly of the car must be possible within a reasonably well equipped garage with standard hand-tools.
